PuTTY for U3 remote access tool is a rock solid, stable, smooth running implementation of Telnet, SSH(SSH-1 and SSH-2), Rlogin, and RAW connections (this is useful if you wanted to connect to a server and send/receive raw data, for debugging, or perhaps a MUD or other text-based online game) for Win32 platforms.
PuTTY for U3 includes support for the following Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) encrpytion modes:
- AES (Rijndael 256bit, 192bit, or 128bit)
- Blowfish (128bit)
- 3DES(Triple-DES 168bit)
- DES(Single-DES 56bit).
PuTTY includes a multitude of configuration options, appearance settings and includes xterm terminal emulation, which some people actually prefer the PuTTY terminal emulation to the standard xterm emulation.
PuTTY for U3 is fully U3 certified and is compatable with all current U3 enabled smart drives. What does this mean to you? Well, you can now bring your telnet/ssh client with you on the go, save your sessions (username/passwords, hostnames, encryption keys, display settings, etc) directly to your U3 smart drive. When you unplug your smart drive or exit your Launchpad, *poof* you were never there!
